Innovative Science and Technology for Bio-industry
About the Course
As our personal training program was selected for one of the MEXT Programs for Enhancing Systematic
Education in Graduate Schools, the graduate education course, Innovative Science and Technology for Bio-industry, was started in Oct, 2008. Our course provides a personal training system to graduate students for widening students’ career path in bio-industrial fields as well as an academic field. MEXT is the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
Course Work Design
Skills
Conceptual skill for brushing up the way of thinking, Human skill for training the way of working with other people, Communication skill for learning the way of the first contact with people, Personal Branding for brushing up your first impression, Career Development for knowing yourself in the past, present, and future, and Coping skill for learning how to deal with your mental stress are provided as our original classes. These classes are given using Japanese only.
Globalization
English communication class is provided. To determine your English skill, you have to take either TSST (speaking skill test on the telephone) or TOEIC IP test. According to your practical level of English communication, you will find the most suitable class. A lecture is given in English. Class schedule (2010) and orientation can be downloaded.
Knowledge and Mentality being Professionals
Small-group tutorial seminar classes are provided by faculty members of Agriculture. You have to take 4 of those seminar classes for a credit. You will learn something new and mentality being professionals in a series of research fields.
Practical Activities
Domestic and international internship is fully supported. The course will design your internship (where, how long, what) with you and your supervisor. After coming back, you will present what you have done, what you aware, and how you have dealt with people during staying and working outside the school. You share your experiences with other students.
Scope
Combining these classes and activities, you will see much wider sight for your future career. We will support as much as possible. However, every class except English communication is now provided only using Japanese. We will make our effort to provide many classes in English in the future. It will take some more time.

When you complete program registration, "login ID" and "password" are automatically issued and send via email.
If the email is not received, please check your SPAM folder before asking us.
Login ID and password is effective until your graduation. If you registered last year, please find the Login ID and password.
If forgotten, send us email. But, please say, "forgot ID and password" instead of saying "cannot get ID and password."
